Growing up in rural New Mexico, Ella’s love for music began with her parents, who raised her on a steady diet of 70s folk, rock and bluegrass. Her father, being a musician himself, continues to inspire her to this day with his unrelenting appreciation and his steadfast discipline as a lifelong student of music. Ella started taking piano lessons at a young age and her curiosity and excitement about music theory and composition  blossomed over time as she explored the soundscapes of Debussy and Chopin. Following in the footsteps of her older sister, she discovered a love of singing and songwriting as she got older, which eventually became the pursuit that would lead her to chart her own path as an artist. Like many other creatives, she found the courage (and free time) to record and upload an original song to SoundCloud in 2020 during the pandemic. The song accumulated over 20k streams, and gave Ella the confidence and self assurance to believe that she could pursue music for a living.

Ella attended Berklee College of Music and completed a bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Writing and Production. This decision led to an incredible amount of growth and learning for her as a songwriter, composer, and a producer. It’s where she met the people who would help her pursue the life she’s always wanted as an artist, including all the members of her 5 piece band as well as guitarist, songwriter and producer Alex Bajot. Ella and Alex collaborated to release Ella’s first single Chains in 2025. They’re currently hard at work bringing new music of Ella’s to the world in 2026.

Ella’s music so far has explored identity, loss of innocence, and the pain of falling both in and out of love with people. The common thread of her music is a meditation on her late teens and early twenties, peeling back the intertwining layers of nostalgia, love, exhaustion, and grief that have accompanied her transition from childhood to adulthood. Ella’s arrangements reflect her extensive understanding of compositional world-building, yet her lyrics are honest introspections that bring us back to ourselves as we move through our own worlds along with her.
